D: Since steph is on a great deal of painkillers, she won’t be doing a drink this week. It’s not the best idea to mix Hydromorphone and alcohol (doesn’t really do Naproxen any favours either). So this week, wanting to do a martini of some sort, this Gin Salad martini caught my eye. It’s pretty much a standard dry martini, with a twist in the garnish, and a dash of orange bitters to kind of round it out.

Verdict:##
D: I like gin martinis to begin with, and the dryer the better. I would probably add a little more of the orange bitters than I did, since I couldn’t really taste it. Maybe 2 dashes. I was nervous with it, since it smells like basically pure citrus oil, but in the end it couldn’t really be tasted. As far as the excessive garnish goes, it’s maybe a bit much, I’d probably just do an olive and an onion (which I guess is closer to a Gibson martini). It was good though, just.. a bit weird having the massive skewer of veggies in a drink. It’s something different at least.
